On the morning of May 6, the Pacific PartnershipProgram in 2019 (Pacific Partnership - PP19 for short) officially opened in Tuy HoaCity.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing ViceChairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Chi Hien said: After 9 times thePacific Partnership Program was successfully organized in Vietnam, as the hostlocal this time, Phu Yen found this program as the most vivid and clearexpression of the humanitarian spirit, the cooperation of countries in dealingwith the increasingly complex impacts of climate change and environmentalissues.

This is indeed an opportunity for Phu Yen province toparticipate in the joint efforts of Vietnam and other countries in the IndianOcean - Pacific region, to help improve the capacity to cope with naturaldisasters; At the same time, it helps the province to contribute its energy tocultivating good relations between Vietnam and the United States and itspartners in the world.

Responding to provincial leaders, PP19 commander, Mr.Randy Van Rossum, thanked Phu Yen province for facilitating the delegation. Atthe same time, informing the 2019 Pacific Partnership Program was held in 6countries around the world, including Vietnam. PP19 would be held in PhuYen, from May 6 to May 18 with 117 activities.
