Phu Yen has 11 agricultural, forestry and fishery products protected bythe National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science andTechnology). This is an important platform to enhance product value, as well asexpand markets, bring products to spread further.

Song Cau TownFarmers' Association is the owner of the Quan De Wine Collective Trademark. In2014, Department of Science and Technology carried out legal procedures tosubmit to the National Office of Intellectual Property to be granted aprotection title for the Quan De Wine Collective Trademark. By 2015, theprotection title was valid and 4 households in Song Cau Town were allowed touse this trademark. In 2017, Mr. Vo Truong Son asked to use the trademark whilethe previous 4 households could not bring the use of this trademark into play,so they did not use it.

“Recently,Mr. Son was supported by the Department of Industry and Trade of 30 million VNDto redo the bottle design and equipped with a capping machine. Thanks to theprotection brand, Quan De wine product is increasingly improved in quality anddesign, known by the market inside and outside the province with higher sellingprice and purchasing power is also higher than before”, Mr. Vo Tan Si, ViceChairman of Song Cau Town Farmers Association said.

Recognizingthe importance of protecting local specialties, Phu Yen has been focusing onpromoting the strengths of each region, thereby selecting specialties to buildand develop brands, such as: Dong Din pinch, Quan De wine, Phu Yen fish sauce,Phu Yen ocean tuna, Phu Yen rice paper, O Loan blood cockle, Hoa Da rice paper,Dong Binh rice paper, Ganh Do fish sauce, Tuyet Diem salt ... In addition, theprovince is continuing to establish a certified trademark of Son Thanh Pepperfor pepper products of Tay Hoa district and Phu Yen's brand of a sunny cow ...
