The Culture - Sports - Tourism festival (formerly Culture-SportsFestival) of the provincial ethnic groups takes place every 3 years. The contesting item of introducing traditional costumes by Dong Hoa district

At the night offolk art performance competitions combined with introducing traditionalcostumes, more than 45 items of popular art troupes from 9 districts, towns andcities in the province made audiences’ hearts be engrossed.

Attractingmany people are the performances bearing the traditional characterisrtics ofethnic minorities. This year, Song Hinh district this year brought the concert"Five chinh one gong", simultaneously introducing to friends a partof the cultural space of the Central Highlandsgong that was recognized as a masterpiece of intangible culture and transmittedpassword of humanity.

Gong sound is an indispensable partof the spiritual and cultural activities of the Ede, Ba Na, Cham ... Phu Yen people. Theseinstruments participate in all their life activities from birth to rest.

Throughoutthe 3 night performances, the districts of Phu Hoa, Dong Hoa, Tay Hoa, Song CauTown and Tuy Hoa City brought to the festival the repertoires with full of Nauland cultural flavour, showing the simple life, soul liberal and joyful of Phupeople in today's life.

Not only gongsounds, folk songs, specialty dishes ..., the festival is also a place togather impressive costumes from a three-piece dress in daily activities; adiscreet long-sleeved shirt, close to the body, showing the woman's smoothbeauty; The conical hat is made of palm leaves with patterns, simple colorscreate charm for girls; to the colorful brocade costumes of the ethnic minorityEde, Ba Na, Cham ... Viewers have the opportunity to experience the culture ofethnic groups, honoring the wealth of the indigenous culture , diversity, richnessof different communities.

According toMr. Pham Van Bay, Director of Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports andTourism, the festival is an activity of deep socio-political significance. Thisis an opportunity for ethnic minority people to meet, exchange and introducetypical cultural values oftheir nation and locality, contributing to honoring, preserving and promotingthe cultural values ofPhu Yen land and people.

From this, itenhances the national pride, strengthens the solidarity, mutual understandingand learning among peoples living in the province, together building Phu Yen'shomeland more and more prosperous. This is also an opportunity to promote andintroduce to people in the country and international friends about the image,people and landof Phu Yen; preservingand promoting the values oftraditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups in Phu Yen province.
