Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Secretary of theprovincial Party Committee cum PPC Chairman chaired the regular provincialPeople's Committee conference in March 2019.

Spectacle of the conference

In the first quarter of2019, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) was estimated to increase by11.3% over the same period last year. In particular, the industry -construction sector has many positive signals; construction activitiesincreased due to solar power plant projects being invested in the province;services continue to grow; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries maintained thestable growth. Sowing area reached about 26,583 ha.

Industrial productionindex in the first quarter of 2019 was expected to increase by 7.8% over thesame period. Industrial production value met VND 4,270.3 billion, reaching22.9% of the year plan. Industrial production activities develop stably; somemajor industrial products increased over the same period. Export turnover inthe first quarter was estimated at 42.59 million USD, reaching 25.8% of theyear plan. Import turnover was estimated at USD 19.24 million, reaching 22.9%of the year plan. The improvement of the business investment environment,enhancing the competitiveness of PCI and DDCI continues to be interested insynchronous implementation.

In the first quarter, theprovince approved the investment policy of 3 projects with a total investmentcapital of about VND 63 billion. The total social investment capital in thefirst quarter of 2019 in the province reached VND 5,585.1 billion, increasing2.1 times over the same period and exceeding the plan for the first quarter of2019 of the Provincial People's Committee. The total carried out state budgetrevenue in the first quarter of 2019 was VND 1,357 billion, meeting 38.64% ofthe central estimate, up 64% over the same period.

Delivering a speech at theconference, Mr. Pham Dai Duong, PPC Chairman, requested departments, committeesand localities to focus on 3 main contents in April such as the organization ofactivities to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the province’sre-establishment, Pacific partner program and working program of Mr. Vuong DinhHue in Phu Yen province.

DPI is the clue withcommittees focusing on relevant proposals on new rural issues and some contentsrelated to the province's economic development capital. Committees need todiscuss with the managing ministries on the allocation of capital to get theconclusion ideas of the Deputy Prime Minister.
The province also taskedworking groups to inspect the implementation of the direction of the PPCChairman and the PPC in order to review and urge the units to implement; limitthe shortcomings, delays, and report on the inspection results of workinggroups at the monthly People's Committee conference.
