Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Director of Hoa Phong Agricultural andService Business Cooperative (Tay Hoa district), said: With rice, thecooperative contracted with companies and businesses to provide certified seeds andconsume the products. In the last year, the model field of 19ha seed rice helped farmers to earn VND 15million to VND 20million / ha; the high-quality rice model got the benefit of from VND 18million to VND 20 million / ha.
With the mulberry tree, the cooperative associates with the Mulberry Silk Company (LamDong province) to supply seeds and pick cocoons, which creates conditions to maintain production inthe commune's craft-village of growing mulberry and raising silkworms. In addition, the cooperative alsouses silkworm pupae to make silkworm wine, building an exclusive brand, and put thisproduct into Tuy Hoa Co.opMart Supermarket and specialty businesses in the province. TheCooperative want tocreate more channels of consuming agricultural products sothat farmers can live with their craft.
The Provincial Farmers' Association associates with the Provincial CooperativeAlliance to link the farmers' production of organic agricultural products tocooperatives towards sustainable agricultural production. According to Mr. PhanDai Thang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, producing organic agricultural products is theorientation of the Association for farmer members to protect consumers' healthand promote the consumption of farm products.
One of the solutions to help farmers achieve thetarget is to establish acooperative of farmers and in each cooperative there is a organic agricultural product store. "Inthe coming time, the goal of the Provincial Farmers Association is to establisha cooperative or cooperative group in each locality, striving to have 25agricultural cooperatives owned by farmers by 2020," saidMr. Thang.
