Cooperation in developing hot mineral springs resources with Hungary

In DebrecenCity, the capital of Hajdú-Biharprovince (Hungary),the delegation of Phu Yen province, which was led by Mr. Huynh Tan Viet,commissioner of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial PartyCommittee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, has just had aconference with Mr. Zoltán Pajna, the Governor of Hajdú-Bihar.

At the conference, the representatives of Phu Yen province introduced thesocio-eco development achievements after 30 years of provincialre-establishment, policies to attract investment, especially the introductionof four hot spring locations: Lac Sanh, Triem Duc, Tra O, Phu Sen. Therepresentative of Hajdú-Bihar province also introduced the results of thislocal socio-economic development with the highest per capita GDP in thecountry.

Hajdú-Bihar has 
DebrecenUniversity, which is agraduate and post-graduate training center with 30,000 students, of which 155Vietnamese students study medicine among the total number of 187 Vietnamesestudents attending the school.

In addition, the representative of Hajdú-Bihar province speciallyintroduced to Phu Yen the experience in hot mineral springs with variousdevelopment models and modern mining technologies concentrated inHajdúszoboszló - the hot spring paradise of visitors from all around the world.

In the solemn atmosphere, full of friendship from both delegates, Secretaryof the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Tan Viet and Governor Zoltán Pajna signeda memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing hot mineral springs.Accordingly, Hajdú-Bihar will help Phu Yen draft a master plan for mineralspring development, transfer best practices and models to Phu Yen, facilitatingtravel agencies, hot mineral resorts of both sides establish business relationsand promote practical cooperation.
Provincial Party Committee’s Secretary Huynh Tan Viet and Governor ZoltánPajna affirmed that the agreement not only promotes the efficient andsustainable exploitation of hot mineral water resources but also sets thefoundation for the expansion of relations between the two sides. many otherareas such as agricultural cooperation, education, and training.

Responding to the Hungarian press, Mr. Tran Huu The, Commissioner of theProvincial Standing Committee, PPC Vice Chairman said that in addition to theobvious similarities between the two sides, the differences of Phu Yen comparedwith Hajdú-Bihar like being a coastal province in a tropical climate also createsconditions for the two sides to add development experience. That is the idealbasis for the two sides to develop a rich, sustainable and long-termrelationship.

During his stay in Budapest-the capital of Hungary, Secretary of theProvincial Party Committee Huynh Tan Viet and Vietnamese Ambassador to HungaryNguyen Tien Thuc attended the seminar on "Using hot mineral water andopportunities from Hungary" by the Foreign Affairs Department of water andDanube River, Hungary's Ministry of Foreign Trade to welcome the delegation ofPhu Yen province. The two comrades also attended the reception meeting of Mr.Bajkai István, a member of the Hungarian Parliament.
Mr. Bajkai István said that Phu Yen's cooperation initiatives withHajdú-Bihar as well as other partners such as Eximbank, Aquaplus hot mineraldevelopment group, PBG FMC Company, etc… would contribute positively in theframework of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He affirmedhis support for the proposals of diplomatic agencies, the Hungarian financialfirms to put the content of cooperation with Phu Yen into the IntergovernmentalCommittee meeting in 2019, as well as proposals on financial support. totransfer hot mineral spring technology to Phu Yen in the near future.

During this visit, the delegation of Phu Yen province met many Hungarianpartners in the areas of water quality survey, assessment, exploitation,design, construction, and organization of mineral springs businessactivities... The delegation visited and worked with the mineral bath complexHajdúszoboszló - the largest mineral bath center in 
Europe,the Mineral Bath Association of Hungary bringing together the experts andleading doctors of Hungarian medical mineral bathing field. The delegation alsoworked with the Hungarian National Tourism Agency to learn from Hungary'sexperience and achievements in medical tourism.
