In the evening of March30th, at the April 1stSquare (TuyHoa City),the PPC solemnly held the opening ceremony of Phu Yen Cultural and Tourism Week2019 and the art program to celebrate the 44th anniversary of theLiberation of Phu Yen Province ( April 1st, 1975- April 1st,2019).

Opening remarks of Phu Yen Cultural and Tourism Week 2019,PPC Vice Chairman cum Head of Phu Yen Tourism Development Steering Committee,Mr. Phan Dinh Phung emphasized: Continuing the success of the Week of Cultureand Tourism in previous years, today, on the beautiful and heroic land of Phu Yen, the PPC solemnly opened theCultural-Tourism Week of 2019.

This event took place at the time of great significance,celebrating the 44^th anniversary of Phu Yen Liberation Day (April 1^st,1975-April 1^st,2019), towards the Liberation Day of the South,unifying the country (April 30^th, 1975 to April 30^th,2018), responding to the activities which are held with the aim of celebratingthe 30^thanniversary of the provincial re-establishment (July 1^st,1989 - July 1^st, 2019) and opening the seasonal peak tourism in2019.

In 2018, Phu Yen Tourism sector continues to develop, mobilizea lot of resources to invest in socio-eco development infrastructure associatedwith tourism, attracting many large-scale and public tourism projects, themanagement of the tourism sector goes into order and tourism products areincreasingly diversified; attracted more than 1.6 million visitors, up 14.6%over the previous year.

With the theme "Phu Yen-An attractive and friendlydestination", Cultural and Tourism Week takes place from April 27, 3-5,with many activities such as: Tourism Fair-Culinary Specialties; ProvincialPost Art Festival; Food Culture Festival; Tuy Hoa Street Music Festival; KitesArt performance; Vietnamese Tournament to the place to welcome the first dawnon land in Vietnam: Mui Dai Lanh - Phu Yen 2019, PTP Cup etc.

According to Mr. Ngo Hoai Chung, Deputy General Director ofTourism, the results achieved by Phu Yen Tourism in recent years are veryencouraging, so it becomes an attractive destination in the South Central Coastregion, records imprint on Vietnam's tourism map, affirms its importantposition in the overall tourism development of the region and the country.
