At Dong Tac fishing port (Tuy Hoa city), fishermen have just moved 2giant bluefin tuna weighing hundreds ofkilos to the port.

Accordingly,PY96742TS ocean tuna fishing vessel of Mr. Nguyen Trung Dom, a fisherman in PhuDong ward (Tuy Hoa city), reached Dong Tac fishing port with about 2,5 tons oftuna, including a giant tuna which issaid to be a bluefin tuna.

According toMr. Dom, this fish was caught on the April 15th night in waters ofTruong Sa Islands. After the fish was hooked, fishermen on the vessel had toask another tuna fishing vessel in Phu Dong ward for help and it took more than4 hours to bring this fish to the vessel.

After thevessel docked, the owner of PY96742TS vessel hired a crane to bring this gianttuna ashore and it weighed up to 367 kilos. On the morning of the same day, thefishing vessel of fishermen Le Van Thai in Phu Dong ward also docked andbrought a bluefin tuna weighing over 200 kilos ashore.

According toPhu Yen Fishing Port Management Board, another fishing vessel of fishermen inTuy Hoa city is on the way to ashore and also caught a bluefin tuna which wasestimated to weigh about 200 kilos. It is expected that this vessel will bringthe bluefin tuna to Dong Tac fishing port by May 20th.

According tothe elderly fishermen in Phu Dong ward, there has not been a year when Phu Yenfishermen catches 3 giant bluefin tuna like this year. According to theDepartment of Agriculture and Rural Development, the bluefin tuna caught byfisherman Nguyen Trung Dom with weight of 367 kilos is the heaviest one thatPhu Yen fishermen have ever caught.
