With the theme"Science and Technology for the socio-econo development", recently, participants at themeeting in respond to the Vietnam Science and Technology Day have offerred many specificsolutions to promote the creative capacity of the people as well as the role of thescientific and technological intellectuals in the local socio-econo development.

During recent years, the Provincial Union ofScience and Technology Associations (Union of Associations) has organized manyactivities which contributed to propagating and disseminating scientific, technical andtechnological knowledge for the people; promote research and application,develop science and technology; encourage people to participate in science andtechnology creation activities; honor intellectuals...

After 7 times of organization, the Technical InnovationContest attracted more than 300 solutions and most of them were awarded; the Creative Youth and ChildrenContest also received more than 300 solutions in all schools in 9 districts,town and city. Through competitions, the Union ofAssociations has createdopportunities for authors having solutions to show their creativity as well as attractmany objects among the people.

At any period, science, technology and intellectuals play animportant role in the socio-economic development in each nation and all humanity. Since theancient times, ourancestors have affirmed that "the talent is the national property" and this is clearly reflectedin the integration period and the current 4.0 industrial revolution. Today,when Science and Technology develops rapidly; human intelligence and creativecapacity become an important resource to determine the efficiency andcompetitiveness of the economy, the rapid and sustainable development of thecountry, the creative capacity of the people and the intellectuals are evenmore important.

Therefore, Mr. Le Van Huu, Chairman of the Provincial Studying Encouragement Association said thatin the future, on the one hand, the Union ofAssociations need tohave solutions to improve the quality of competitions and technical creativitycontests; gather a teamof experts to support and complete solutions and products inthe competition, strive to achieve high national and regionalprizes; on the other hand, it is necessary to advise mechanisms and policies toreplicate solutions, commercialize valuable products into production and lifeas well as timely honor typical intellectuals, typical creative workers with many contributions to the scienceand technology career of the province.

Addressing at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa,Chairman of the Union said that thecompetitions hosted by the Union of Associations helped enrich the creative movementof the people and showed potential ofresearching and creating science and technology of people isnot small. However, promoting more creative potentials, as well as applyingthese innovative studies to life is still limited. Therefore, the Union ofAssociations needs manyadvisory opinions from scientists in how to create conditions, opportunities andenvironment for people and scientists to operate; solutions to accelerate theapplication of research results, technical innovation to serve production andlife..., thereby, creating an environment to encourage, stimulate and nurture the passion of scientific researchof the people in the province.
