Studying in Phu Yen isas close as home
That is the share from Laotian students studying atuniversities and colleges in the province. According to them, the material andspiritual support of the Party, government and people of Phu Yen province hascreated favorable conditions for Laotian students to live and study here. Thefeelings of teachers and friends make the students feel close and loved asliving in Laos.
Sysombut Bounkeo is studying at the Faculty of Architecture,Mien Trung University of Civil Engineering, saying: "Nearly 4 yearsstudying in Phu Yen, I feel the affection and attention of the leaders andpeople here for Lao students. The teachers where I study always take care andcreate an environment for Lao students to be able to integrate and study well.In the future, I hope that Phu Yen and Xiengkhouang provinces will maketwinning together so that the two localities can exchange more in numerousfields, especially Education and Training ”.
Currently, there are 22 Laotian students studying in theprovince: Phu Yen University, Mien Trung University of Civil Engineering, andPhu Yen Medical College. Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Phuong, Rector of MienTrung University of Civil Engineering, said: “In the strategy of education development,the school attaches special importance to promoting international cooperation,linking with universities in Laos to support training and grant many scholarshipsto Lao students. At the recent educational festival in Laos, the school leadersvisited a number of universities and met parents who have children attendingthe school. Parents expressed their gratitude to the leaders of Phu Yen provinceand the school for creating conditions for their children to integrate andstudy well ”.
Tightening friendship,special solidarity
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Chairman of theVietnam-Laos Friendship Association in Phu Yen province, recently, in Phu Yen,visits to leadership levels frequently took place to further strengthen thespecial friendship between the two. In particular, with Savannakhet province, on the basis of theMemorandum of Cooperation (MOU) signed between Phu Yen and Savannakhetprovinces since 2012, the two sides have actively exchanged and cooperated comprehensivelyon the fields of economic, culture, society and education, in which specialpriority is given to training and developing human resources. Mr. Khamphuon Tuphaythun,Deputy Governor of Savannakhet Province, during a social visit to Phu YenProvincial Party Committee on the occasion of the 30th anniversary ofprovincial re-establishment, said: “We are very excited and reassured becausethe students of Savannakhet province go to study.
