Mr. Nguyen Minh Song, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Unionof Science and Technology Associations, Head of the Organizing Committee of thePhu Yen Provincial Technological Innovation Contest (2018-2019), said:Competition propaganda actively deployed right from the launch, attracted alarge number of intellectuals, officials, civil servants, employees and workersinterested in participating in research. After 2 years of implementation, theeighth contest has ensured the right content, requirements, implementationschedule and achieved encouraging results.
The contest has received 100 constructions and solutions toparticipate in the competition in 6 fields: Information technology, electronicsand telecommunications; mechanical engineering, construction andtransportation; materials, chemicals, energy; agriculture, forestry andfishery, natural resources and environment; pharmacy; Education and Training.The process of classification and scoring of works and solutions to meet thestandards: novelty, creativity and applicability, the organizers have selected31 solutions which have practical effectiveness and wide applicability.
This year's competition recognizes the active participationof the units: the Provincial Police Department, Central Industry and TradeCollege, Phu Yen Vocational College, attracting many authors of all ages toparticipate. Because of the elaborate and thorough investment, most of theworks and solutions have high scientific and technical content, bringing aboutefficiency and practical application.
As a familiar face who have had many solutions to attend andwin high prizes at the provincial and national Technical Innovation Contest,this year Mr. Nguyen Van Nghi (Hoa Thanh commune, Dong Hoa district) continuesto join the contest with the solution of "Production of rice husk charcoalfrom Linh Chi mushroom waste".
Sharing about this solution, Mr. Nghi said, when the Linh Chimushroom growing movement thrives, it is also when post-harvest waste productsfrom Linh Chi leave much to the environment, polluting the soil, water and air.. Taking advantage of this waste product, Mr. Nghi uses technology to turn intosmokeless, fragrant, radiant heat, suitable for grilled hot pot restaurants.Currently this product has been covered by a whole facility in Khanh Hoa.
The Youth Union of Phu Yen Provincial Police is one of theunits that strongly implement the movement "Youth strikes creative labor,owns science and technology". In the 7th contest (2016-2017),the Provincial Police Youth Union had a solution to win the second prize. Atthe eighth competition, this unit cooperated with Dong Hoa district union tocarry out 7 solutions and all went to the final round. The solutions toparticipate in the contest are highly applicable, in which many solutions havebeen successfully applied in the unit and some solutions are in the process oftesting.
