Relics and landscapes are an important resource in cultural andspiritual life and tourism development. Talking to Phu Yen Newspaper around the management and promotion of the valueof landscapes, Mr. Pham Van Bay, Director of Department of Culture, Sports andTourism said:

Currently,the province has 77 historical - cultural relics, scenic spots (collectivelyreferred to as monuments) ranked. Including 1 special national monument, 21national monuments and 55 provincial relics. In addition, there are 202monuments included in the inventory list under the decision of the ProvincialPeople's Committee.

Based on theregulations on management, preservation, repair and restoration of monuments ofthe Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture, Sportsand Tourism advised the provincial People's Committee to issue a scheme ondecentralized management of landscapes - scenic spots which have been rated;Regulations on management, protection and promotion of historical and culturalrelics and scenic spots.

Among the 21 national monuments, there are 8 relics that havedirect management board and management teams; 6 monuments have contracted staffdirectly to protect; 7 monuments have no management board or direct protection.

* How is investment, embellishing relics, landscapes andinterests, sir?

- Determiningrelics as important resources that need to be preserved and promoted in value,from 2016 up to now, the province has focused on investing in essentialinfrastructure in relics such as Ganh Da Dia, Bai Mon - Dai Lanh Cape, ThapNhan, Vung Ro - No ship, Da Bia mountain, An Tho citadel, Historical monument the5th Street Win ... In which, at the two sites of Ganh Da Dia and Bai Mon - DaiLanh Cape There is a strong reinvestment from the entrance fee with a total amountof nearly 12 billion VND.

Regarding theimplementation of landmark zoning for national-level monument protection areasin the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has surveyed,measured and determined the boundaries of protected areas to mark landmarks.and advised the Provincial People's Committee to send a dossier requesting theMinistry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to agree on the area to protectnational relics and scenic spots in Phu Yen.

The CulturalHeritage Department organizes an actual survey of a number of relics,re-unifies the protected area boundaries and comments on the official recordsof zoning protected areas of 18 national monuments.

In thecoming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate withrelated departments, agencies and local People's Committees to plug landmarksto protect relics in the field to manage land and water surface; conductingplanning of monuments, setting up projects to renovate monuments ... to serveas a basis for calling for investment, restoration and conservation of monuments.
Department ofCulture, Sports and Tourism presides and coordinates with other sectors andlocalities to develop a scheme to preserve and promote the value of monumentsin the period 2020-2025 and submit to the provincial People's Committee andProvincial People's Council for approval to serve as a basis for localauthorities actively implement, especially the mobilization of socializedcapital.

Besides, anumber of basic and regular solutions to improve the quality of the monumentmanagement work such as: Well implementing the scheme of decentralizing themanagement of relics - the listed landscapes and management regulations,protect and promote the value of historical-cultural relics and scenic spots;coordinating with branches and localities to urge and create conditions forinvestors to accelerate the project investment progress in relics withinvestment policies; diversify annual cultural and festival activities atmonuments; enhance propaganda and promotion of monuments and landscapes; improvethe quality of staff working in management and conservation of monuments fromthe province to the grassroots level.
